Gone Fishin'
So I'm off to the Romance Writers of America's National Conference in Atlanta for the rest of the week. Should be lots of fun--schmoozin', meetin', learnin', noshin'....
This is the one time a year I get to see some of my best friends and get to be surrounded by 1700 people (mostly women) who love to read and write as much as I do. It's going to be a lot of fun.
I'll be back on Monday...so while I'm gone, you can tawk amongst yer-selves. Here are a couple of conversation starters for ya...

- What's up with Suri Cruise? Why haven't we seen her?
- When will Britney dump K-Fed?
- Is You, Me, & Dupree worth seeing?
- What did you think of Lady in the Water?
4 Comments:
1-I think Tom's devotion to Scientology is keeping poor Katie and Suri under wraps. I've read they won't even let their friends come and see her!
2-Brit & K-Fed...who knows.
3-I don't think I'll go see Dupree, but I'm sure it's full of laughs.
4-I am excited to see Lady in the Water. M Night Shamalan is amazing!
**Have a great time at the conference!!!

I think they had a CYlon baby adn that is why they are keeping it a secret.
;)
I am going to be a complete rebel and not respond to anything on the list! HA!
Instead, I noticed you're currently reading The Virgin's Lover. I read that earlier in the year and am now in the middle of The Other Boelyn Girl. I was wondering how you (and others) are liking (have liked) the book.
For myself, I liked the story but despised the characters. Elizabeth seemed TOO whiny, Robert seemed TOO much the fool, and Amy seemed TOO naive and childish. I wish they could have seemed more balanced. I'm enjoying the one I'm reading now; I think the characters are much more dimensional.
*shrugs* And that was my attempt at a discussion.
Hey Ya'll! It's me popping in from Sunny Hot Humid Atlanta.
Having a great time, and thanks to you for keeping my blog hopping while I'm gone.
Annie, I just read The Queen's Fool, which is the only other book by Philippa Gregory I have read, and I really liked it--except that the love story wasn't believable to me. (The love story between the Queen's Fool and her guy.) It seemed too tacked-on and not believable at all.
I am only in the beginning of The Virgin's Lover, and I find I have to take breaks in reading these books. It's all right so far; but I'm just getting to know Elizabeth.
I will say, however, that the Queen's Fool made me very sympathetic to Queen Mary!
See you when I get back...my t-shirts are awesome. :-) I'm wearing them in many of the pictures--I think Jana DeLeon has some on her blog. (http://janadeleon.blogspot.com)
