You think fat is ugly?

I'm glad to hear that Italy is now getting in line (behind Brazil) in cracking down on anorexic models.

A friend of mine sent me these pictures awhile ago, just before that young Brazilian (anorexic) model died. I used the images in a session for a middle school youth group I work with.

The scary thing about this is that at least 75% of the students in this youth group indicated that they knew at least one person who was anorexic or bulimic or both. Girls making themselves throw up in the bathrooms after lunch, etc.

My best friend in high school was anorexic. It was terrible. But at least it was never as terrible as this:

OMG! I've seen skinny models and actresses (like Lara Flynn Boyle), but this is scary. It's like looking at famine or concentration camp victims. How are these girls even alive?

I'm so glad that they're starting to crack down. It's scary how skinny these girls can get. Thankfully my neice is a healthy size 9 and she has a wonderful body image. We've worked on this with her since she was a young child.

That IS Really really gross.. I know they think they are doing that for their career. But does that really help? Do they actually get jobs when their ribs show like that? And how do they function? I know when i am hungry i feel all light headed and dizzy i cant function normally. Thats crazy.

What's even more sick than these girls is the fact that someone thinks this is attractive.

It's so sad that someone had to die before people in the fashion industry began to take some responsibility.

I know! It's outrageous that someone had to die before they started paying attention to this.

And look at what our young girls see--not that many of them have seen this, but many of their idol actresses look little better (Keira Knightley, Kate Bosworth, Nicole Richie anyone?)

I'm in shock looking at that. Especially the woman on top. How can she hold up her hand, it's so much bigger than her arm? She looks like she's made of gum and someone has taken her and stretched. Her feet and hands -- compared to the rest of her body, are huge.

I can't believe this is an image we would promote. That is NOT attractive.

I'm know lots of people smaller than size ten (I am, and I bet Colleen is as well), but I don't know anyone who looks like that.

I can officially say I feel like I am going to wretch now after having looked at those photos. It makes me very happy to have all of the padding that I worked so hard to have. Excuse me while I inhale my Burger King now to keep from becoming those images.

Shagging someone who is that skinny is taking your life in your hands. You gould get pierced with an elbow.

"Sure, you can come upstairs, but first you have to sign this disclaimer stating that you will not sue me for puncture wounds inflicted whilst having sex."

Pfft. So, you show up here. You emerge out of the slipstream and then vanish again.

No, I was talking about sexmuse. Sorry. She's been offline forever, and even taunting won't bring her round. It was just funny that she popped up here.

She's one of the best erotica writers I've ever read, but she's been playing with coloring pictures with her computer instead of writing. Reluctant Muse is one of her best.

Oh, Eva, I was talking to sexmuse. I don't know who she is!

Thanks for cluing me in.

And if those pics are photoshopped, I'm relieved to know it!
